Terms of Service

This is a plain-language summary of the rules for using Inshore Bite. It's a starting-point document, not reviewed by a lawyer — treat it as a placeholder to replace once you've had counsel look at it.

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Inshore Bite (the “app”), you agree to these terms. Inshore Bite is operated by McLean Gas Company LLC (“we,” “us”). If you don't agree, don't use the app.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account.

3. Subscriptions & billing

Some features require a paid subscription, billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Pricing, billing, and refunds for subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms — cancel anytime through your Apple or Google Play account settings. Deleting your Inshore Bite account does not cancel an active subscription.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the catches, photos, notes, and other content you post. By using the app you grant us the license described in our Privacy Policy to store, display, and — where you choose to share something — use that content to operate and promote Inshore Bite. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share, and don't photograph other people or private property without their OK.

5. Tournaments

If you enter a tournament feature, you agree that we determine winners at our discretion based on the entry rules shown in the app, and that entries are used and licensed as described in the Privacy Policy. We may disqualify entries that appear fraudulent, edited, or that violate these terms.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use Inshore Bite to harass others, post illegal content, misrepresent a catch, scrape or reverse-engineer the app, or interfere with its normal operation. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Fishing & safety disclaimer

Bite forecasts, tide, weather, and spot information in the app are informational and generated from third-party and modeled data — they are not a guarantee of catch, conditions, or safety. Always check official National Weather Service and NOAA marine forecasts before heading out, follow local regulations and bag limits, and use your own judgment on the water. We are not responsible for decisions made based on information in the app.

8. Third-party services

The app relies on third-party services (payment processing, maps, weather data, crash reporting, and others) described in our Privacy Policy. We aren't responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

Inshore Bite is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any forecast or recommendation will be accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, McLean Gas Company LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any decision made or action taken based on its content.

11. Changes

We may update these terms as the app changes. We'll note material changes in the app. Continuing to use Inshore Bite after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. (Placeholder — confirm this is the right jurisdiction.)
